Paul Irwin is the President and CEO of The Humane Society of the United States, the nation's largest animal protection organization. Mr. Irwin is also President of the Center for Respect of Life and Environment Humane Society International, EarthVoice, Renew America, and the Center for Earth Concerns of Costa Rica. He is Vice President of the National Association for Humane and Environmental Education and serves on the boards of directors of the American Bible Society, Meadowcreek, the Renewable Natural Resources Center, and the Wilhelm Schole. An ordained United Methodist Minister, he was engaged in ecclesiastical responsibilities in Massachusetts and New York. Mr. Irwin also served as a chaplain with Project Hope in Brazil. His educational credentials include a Doctor of Letters Degree from Rio Grande College, Master Degrees from Boston University, Andover Newton Theology School, and the Massachusetts Mental Health Center.
