Susan Gilson Miller is the Associate Director of the Center for Middle Eastern Studies at Harvard University and Director of its Moroccan Studies Program. She also teaches history of North Africa in the Department of Near Eastern Languages and Civilizations at Harvard. She is the author of Disorienting Encounters: Travels of a Moroccan Scholar in France, 1945-46 (University of California Press, 1992).
