John Patterson teaches philosophy at Massey University in New Zealand. His publications include: a logic textbook, Practical Logic, the first book on Maori philosophy by a professional academic philosopher; Exploring Maori Values; Back to Nature: A Taoist Philosophy for the Environment; a novel, Pinkie's Problem, and a book of poetry, Cant Find Rest Room. A new book called People of the Land: A Pacific Philosophy (on Maori philosophy and the environment) is almost ready for publication.
