Lawrence
Troster is the spiritual leader of Oheb Shalom Congregation in
South Orange, New Jersey and a Steinhardt Fellow with CLAL (National
Jewish Center for Learning and Leadership). Troster received his M.A. and
rabbinic ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary of America and
his B.A. from the University of Toronto. He has also served congregations
in Toronto and Richmond Hill, Ontario, and was a research associate at the
Centre for the Study of Religion in Canada, Emmanuel College, University
of Toronto. Among his affiliations, Troster serves on the editorial board
of Conservative Judaism and the Program Council of the Coalition on the
Environment and Jewish Life (COEJL). His latest article is "From Big
Bang to Omega Point: Jewish Responses to Recent Theories in Modern
Cosmology," Conservative Judaism (Forthcoming). |
