On September 24 we invite you to join people from across the state and a fast-growing coalition of civic organizations, churches, synagogues, non-profits and businesses as we converge on New Haven with one common goal: moving past fossil fuels to a brighter future and a healthier planet. Many towns are hosting events in the morning. We’ll then all come together on the New Haven Green at 4pm on 9/24 for a rally, critical mass bike ride, music, talkback with local/state political leaders, discussion of opportunities to get involved in your community, and a then a bike-powered outdoor screening of the movie Wall-E!
Please inform your congregants/parishioners about this special day and spread the word: http://350CT.org/move
The Clean Energy Finance and Investment Authority (CEFIA), Act New Haven and 350 Connecticut are encouraging faith communities to come to the state’s central event in New Haven. To assist in your efforts, we are making available a set of FREE promotional materials. These include:
CEFIA has funded the production of this origami box inventory. Its goal is to help organizations of all types build awareness and motivate people to participate. We are interested to know if you would like to receive these “new communication devices” to help promote awareness and participation in Moving-Planet activities. The CT Clean Energy Fund sends them out in quantities of 75 or 150 sets each. These three nesting boxes are a FUN activity that I designed in collaboration with the 350.org national marketing staff. To learn more, we invite you to view the video: www.yourbuzzbox.com/assembly and review the attached documents.
We will be calling soon to find out your level of interest. Let’s work together to make this one day “To Move Beyond Fossil Fuels” an ongoing reality. Your participation will make a big difference. Please sign up to help organize this event at: http://www.350ct.org/signup/
