A Feature Length Documentary Film Coming 2010

Journey of the Universe tells the story of evolution from the beginning to the present. It aims to inspire a new and closer relationship with Earth in a period of growing environmental and social crisis.

The film was inspired by the New Story of Thomas Berry, a cultural historian and geologian.

This film reveals how contemporary scientific knowledge, while different from the ways of knowing in ancient spiritual traditions, is similar in that it brings us to a common human experience of awe. The film evokes a shared sense of wonder as we find ourselves in the presence of the immense, complex, and self organizing creativity of the universe and the Earth. With our host, Brian Swimme, we explore together the cosmic processes out of which we have emerged and which are still alive in us.
